The Open de France - A Showcase of Golf Excellence

England’s Dan Bradbury showcased exceptional skill at the prestigious Le Golf National, securing his second DP World Tour victory by holding off a competitive field of world-class golfers.

The DP World Tour made its return to France for the annual Open de France, held at the renowned Le Golf National just outside Paris. This championship course has been a stage for elite tournaments, including the recent Olympic golf events. The weekend saw some of the most talented golfers from around the world, with several British and Danish players making their mark on the leaderboard.

In a thrilling final round, Englishman Dan Bradbury emerged victorious, winning by a single stroke. His composed performance included consecutive birdies on the 14th, 15th, and 16th holes, giving him a significant edge over his rivals. With a final round score of 66, Bradbury finished the tournament at 16-under-par, holding off challenges from Thorbjørn Olesen, Yannick Paul, Sam Bairstow, and Jeff Winther, who all tied for second place at 15-under-par.

Bradbury’s victory not only marked his second DP World Tour win but also saw him leapfrog Shane Lowry in the Race to Dubai rankings, placing him in 25th position. The 25-year-old from Wakefield expressed his excitement about his performance, noting how this win secures his place in the season-ending playoff events in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

“The goal this week was simply to make the cut and avoid needing to secure my card in Korea,” Bradbury said. “Now, I guess I’ll be booking flights to Dubai!”

Bradbury first burst onto the professional golf scene with a victory at the Joburg Open in 2022, where he won in just his third start as a professional. With two significant titles to his name, Bradbury’s rising star suggests there may be even greater achievements in his future on the DP World Tour.
